The Big Help Out

Cobham Heritage Trust, like other community organisations throughout Surrey, has organised litter picks on a monthly basis for a number of years.  But littering is getting worse and, post Covid, finding volunteers has become more difficult.  So the Trust decided to use ’The Big Help Out’ to reinvigorate litter-picking in Cobham and to make this improvement sustainable.  

On the ‘Day’ there were over seventy litter-pickers picking up litter from all around Cobham village.  In all between 100 and 110 bags of litter were collected.  More importantly, there is now a much bigger pool of litter-pick volunteers from across the community which should swell monthly litter-pick numbers by at least threefold, and everyone other than litter louts will be better off!
