Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation
On 27th September, on behalf of the Lieutenancy, Deputy Lieutenant, Peter Lee presented Godstone Fire Station with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation. Peter was greeted by the Station (and Borough) Commander, Matt Richardson, and joined by the Godstone crew when they returned from attending an incident in Caterham.
Godstone Fire Station covers the Tandridge Borough which includes Oxted, Lingfield and a busy stretch of the M25. Like all members of the Fire & Rescue Service, the last 18 months has presented even greater challenges than those which they normally face, and Peter heard first-hand accounts from the crew of some of the assignments they have been tasked with over the course of the pandemic.
Surrey is indeed very fortunate to have Surrey Fire & Rescue Service and you can show your appreciation and support by donating to the Fire Fighters Charity https://www.firefighterscharity.org.uk/ As one of the experienced crew told Peter on his visit “it’s where fireman go when they break”. Let’s help keep them fixed!
