Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation

On Behalf of the Surrey Lieutenancy, Deputy Lieutenant, Perdita Hunt OBE, presented Jane Turner BEM, from Compton News with a Lieutenancy Certificate of Appreciation.

Jane has been a force of strength and courage during the Covid Pandemic.  Each month, on behalf of the Village Association, she has continued to edit and produce the Compton News – sharing vital information about food supplies and community help.  Through this, she has provided connection for those feeling isolated and alone.  Now that life is opening up, Jane is reconvening the volunteer distributors.  Through the Compton news, and Jane’s commitment, Compton is a place which looks after its community and keeps a spirit of hope and companionship.
